HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM THE BOBBY MERRITT FOUNDATION!

Thanks to you, the 2024 Bobby Bowl was our most successful yet. Thank you for your support!

BMF MISSION

Bobby Merritt Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness to the substance abuse epidemic. Through cultivating community and honoring the memory of Bobby Merritt, this platform serves to not only bring friends and family together, but to provide scholarships to youth athletes who may not have the access or means to support the financial obligations required to play football. Each fall we host a football game in honor of Bobby’s memory and favorite sport.

MAKE A DONATION

Bobby Merritt was just 20 years old when he passed away in November 2014 from a drug overdose. He was a popular and spirited young man with a passion for football, lacrosse and wrestling growing up in the suburbs of Alexandria, Virginia. Despite his fierce competitive nature on the playing field, Bobby had the unique ability to make an unforgettable positive impact on and off the field with everyone he met. His remarkable influence and personality are the driving factors for his family and friends to keep his memory alive. After several annual events in Bobby’s memory were held after his passing, the Foundation was officially formed in 2018 and is organized exclusively for charitable purposes to raise awareness of drug addiction by providing young athletes the opportunity to play football through scholarships.
